<description>Thankyou all for the very kind comments. I have to say I am very pleased with her and had a whale of a time out on the lake! Just sorry that its a lonely modelling existance out here with nobody else to share the fun with! Really envious of all the fun-runs you guys have! Hopefully I will get a chance in the UK!<br /><br />I managed to, via a very kind contact, get hold of the mobile telephone number yesterday of Tian Jie. My wife called it and actually got an answer!!!!! When she asked him why he wasn't answering my emails or sending the parts, he claimed that it was because the woman had left (I assume he means Tiffany that I was talking to). Funny thing is though that it was HIS email I had been using (fsjiejie@163.com) and NOT Tiffany's!<br /><br />He also claimed that my parts were boxed and just hadn't been shipped (Boxed? Must be a VERY small box, unless something has been lost in translation). He told the good lady that he would have it shipped today (27th), so lets see if he is as good as his word!<br /><br />When asked why he had not answered the land line telephone for his business there was no answer (either to the question OR the number!)<br /><br />Moving on. As other than the last of the crew the S-100 is finished, as I do not have all the Udaloy parts yet, guess the next decision is easy! Will be starting Pauls (PSShips) Type 45 very soon! This will be my first build where I have installed all the running gear myself, but feel confident enough with the task.... still, any advice is of course always GRATEFULLY received! <br /><br />Watch for the build thread and will also let you know if Tian Jie are as good as their word!</description>

Kennedy for a museum or memorial.<br /><br />The ship is currently in docked in Philadelphia with other retired warships.<br /><br />The Navy says the deadline for submitting initial applications is Jan. 22. Bidders have to be a government or nonprofit group that pledges to use the ship as a museum or memorial. The winner gets the ship for free, but will be responsible for moving the 1,050-foot vessel from Philadelphia to its new home.<br /><br />Known as "Big John," the ship was the last conventionally powered aircraft carrier built by the Navy. It once carried a crew of about 4,600 and 70 combat aircraft. It entered Navy service in September 1968 and was decommissioned in 2007<br /></description>
