Lake Huntington 01-17-09 / Yamato - Final Voyage

Gents,

Yamato and Tarawa are no more.  They were donated to a collector who loved them more than me Roll Eyes.

Yamato' final voyage will be at Lake Huntington Jan. 17 Sat.  Tarawa is already gone.

Rich,
Tell me it`s not so.
What in the world are you going to build next?
Maybe a Battle Star Galactica that runs on the water?
How about a visby class?
What to build.
Inquiring mind want to know.

Paul - I'm afraid it is so.

I will be keeping a low profile on this board while building this next build on RC Groups.

Keep on keepin' on.

I liked them, you should have "donated" them to me....I wish you the best in whatever you build Rich, I hope to see you soon.

Hey Marty and Gents,

I'll be around.  I've been doing some serious thinking about an IJN Fleet consisting of the Nagato, Fuso and Yamato.  I love the pagoda styled superstructures and how they seem to defy gravity.  I still have my Yamato at the house and kind of hope it stays.

I'm so confused, I love them all!  I also like the Soviet aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov.  I will make a trip to the library today.

I would build a Kongo class BB before a Fuso, a much nicer looking ship

Rich,

IJN NAGATO gets my vote. Looks like you may have a deck above the main deck that can come off in one piece to access the innards. Just my thoughts on the issue.

Go Rich Go!!
